Yes, They Did It

Uffington White Horse to Princes Risborough in Just Four Days

If you look at the map the route measures around 50 miles. If you do the walk, including the hill climbs, it's more than 60 miles! But the determined duo was not deterred. Yes, there were two stalwarts who did walk each of the four days.

They were joined by others on different days when diaries and fitness permitted. But nobody was discouraged by the weather - which offered some unpleasant conditions on each of the four days.

Camaraderie was high throughout the event. Everyone was suitably prepared and, fortunately, there were no dramas to dampen the spirits.

In the background each of the walkers was on the trail to raise money for the Upper GI Ward at The Churchill Hospital. To date they have raised more than £7,750.

Huge congratulations and enormous thanks to everybody involved.

See you on 7 September at the next OOSO Meeting - and maybe later in the day for the Summer BBQ sponsored by Ann's Munchies.

Kind regards
