Probably the Toughest Event on the Planet

 

Tough Mudder is a 10-12 mile mud and obstacle course designed to drag the participants out of their comfort zone by testing their physical strength, stamina, and mental grit. With no podiums, winners, or clocks to race against, it’s not about how fast they can cross the finish line. Rather, it’s a challenge that emphasizes teamwork, camaraderie, and accomplishing something almost as tough as they are.

On 21 Aug 2016 Rupert Swan (Swanny) and Patrick Maynard (Paddy) completed the course in Cirencester and raised £1,167.20 - a staggering 233% of their original target. 

Nick Maynard's other son, Jack, had planned to join the intrepid duo but pressure of work meant he could only be there in spirit.
