December 2016On 3rd December Liz Ward gave a presentation to the group that proved to be one that raised great interest based on the number of questions that followed.
We were doubly impressed that Liz found the time to talk to us at the weekend and on the same day as her son's birthday party.
Liz has provided a copy of the presentation slides. Click here to see a run through of her material.

A great example to us all.
July 2016After more than a year of fund raising for, and at, The Churchill Hospital we have been advised that we can no longer hold Cake Sales in the foyer.
Either the Health & Safety police are very slow to react or they've received a tip off about our success. Naturally we are disappointed and find it difficult to beleive that the new Coffee Shop owners had any involvement.
July 2016By placing a token in the Community Matters box at the Brackley branch shoppers helped OOSO to receive a share of the £1,000 that was split across three charities.
Since its launch in 2008, the scheme has donated £14 million to local charities chosen by the public.
June 2016On 11 June we had our annual Summer Lunch. The venue was the same as last year. Click here for more details.
As Nick Maynard said, thanks to everybody for making it such an enjoyable event. It's what the OOSO community is about.
June 2016On 11 June we had a quarterly meeting prior to our annual Summer Lunch. As well as an address by Atif Kaudri from Maggies there were talks from two patients (Ken Muller and John Tippett) and one from a carer (Ruby Tippett).

June 2016On 4 June 10 year old Josh Campbell took part in the Kids Fun Triathlon at Henley (Swim 50m, Bike 2k, Run 1k) and raised £476.52 funds for OOSO. His Grandmother, Dawn, is a former oesophagectomy patient and is on the OOSO Management Team. Since her operation Dawn has contributed greatly in supporting the charity. She is known as OOSO's "Queen of the Cake Sales".
April/May 2016On 3 April Richard Bush completed the Paris Marathon and on 2 May he finished the Milton Keynes Marathon. He ran to show both his support for OOSO and his gratitude to Nick Maynard and his team, following his mother Lorraine undergoing surgery in early 2014. Lorraine is now a member of the OOSO Management Group and, in 2015, she played a significant part in organising JOGLE. Richard has raised more than £2,000.
April 2016On 9 April Barnaby Elwes organised a Family Fun Walk.
This was part of his Worth School campaign to raise money for OOSO and in memory of his grandmother, Christina Rapinet.
